The floatation tank, also known as the isolation chamber, is filled with 9 inches of water and 800lbs of Epsom salt solution which creates the ability for you to become completely buoyant in the water. Inside the tank it is warm, dark, quiet, and comfortable with 3 feet above you and at least a foot on either side of you. Spacious and safe, a feeling of being held into the nothingness of floating is produced. When outside stimuli is absent the nervous system is able to reset itself.

Who can float?
Anyone can float! All you need is yourself, an open mind, and the willingness to let go and allow complete relaxation. It may take more than one float before you are able to completely relax both physically and mentally, but every floatation experience is different so the only way to know is to try it out! Children are able to float as long as a parent/guardian is present for the entire session.
Why float regularly?
Each and every floatation experience is unique. The more you float, the better the experience gets! Additionally, the benefits of floating grow exponentially when you do it regularly!
Do I need to wear a bathing suit?
You are not required to wear anything into the tank, however if you are more comfortable in a bathing suit you may wear one. It is more natural to not wear anything in the tank, any type of material pressing against your body may provide a distraction and take away from your overall floatation experience. If you decide to wear a suit we just ask that you wash it or rinse it before entering the tank.
How do you keep your tank clean and disinfected?
With more than 800lbs of Epsom salt dissolved in our tank, the concentration is so high that it is impossible for any living microorganism to survive. Additionally, the tank is filtered and sanitized before and after every session. Showering before and after floating is also mandatory.
What should I do to prepare for my float?
-Please try to shower before you arrive for your appointment. Showering before floating is mandatory and may end up cutting into your float time if you have to shower when you arrive.
-Avoid shaving at least 2-3 hours prior to floating to prevent any stinging.
-Remove contact lenses before floating, we recommend bringing a contact lense case and solution to store them while you float.
-Avoid caffeine prior to floating so it will be easier for you to relax.
-Avoid eating a heavy meal about an hour or so before floating.
-We supply towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and earplugs. All you need to bring is yourself, an open mind, and maybe a hairbrush!
Is there a wrong way to float?
There is no wrong way to float! Every individual just needs to experiment to find whatever position is most comfortable for them. Many float with their hands by their side or behind their heads. Float however you are most comfortable!
Can I float while I'm pregnant?
Absolutely! We do recommend that pregnant women get their medical professionals opinion before using the tank. Floating will allow you to escape the added weight of pregnancy, enabling you to reach a new level of relaxation and pain relief while taking the strain off your body and spine.
Can I float while I'm menstruating?
Yes, as long as you wear a tampon.
What if I fall asleep in the tank, could I drown?
The depth of our solution is 9 inches, and the density is designed to support you, regardless of size or weight; this makes it impossible to drown in the tank. Also, it is not at all dangerous to fall asleep in the tank, many people do!
Will I have enough air in the tank?
Yes. The tank has an air circulation system so fresh air is constantly being circulated through the tank. However if you feel you need more air you can always prop the tank door open with a towel or even leave it open completely.
What if I don't know how to swim?
Fortunately you don't need to know how to swim to use the floatation tank! The water is shallow and the solution makes you completely buoyant, like a cork.
Will I become claustrophobic?
It is unlikely that you will become claustrophobic in the tank. If you know you are claustrophobic you may still float, with the knowledge that you are in complete control the entire session. Inside the tank it is dark, quiet, and comfortable with 3 feet above you and at least a foot on either side. You are in complete control the entire time and you can go in and out of the tank as you wish. You can even float with the tank door open if that makes you more comfortable!
Can more than one person float at a time?
Unfortunately, no. Floating is meant to be a private and personal experience. But by all means, come with a friend! You can talk a walk to the water, read, or simply sit and meditate while you wait for eachother.
