Go Toxic FREE

Back in February this year I attended the Lyme Convention at Quinsigamond College as a vendor for Lyme Disease. What an enlightening afternoon this was for me. The thing that stood out the most was the number of people who traveled hours to attend this convention. I learned a lot from talking to these people and witnessing their struggles with Lyme disease. I saw young people who should be up running around in wheelchairs, older people and middle aged people who were visibly ill. I learned that they also require toxic free products as their chemical tolerance was at zero from the disease. Maybe we need to all understand this idea, chemical free.

Next to me at the convention was Jeanne, an Ava Anderson Consultant. I listened to her talk all day about the products, the history, how the company started, and I was sold. A fifteen year old who was interested in saving the masses by removing chemicals from everyday products had a vision and a mission and she set out to make a HUGE difference in the world.

Needless to say, at the end of the convention I told Jeanne to sign me up. The number one product I watched her sell all day long was the non-toxic bug spray which repels ticks, fleas, mosquitoes, and more. Safe for pets, babies, and anyone exposed to nature. I began using the shampoo and conditioner myself and it has changed the way my hair feels. This is a big deal for me as my hair has been unmanageable since entering menopause. It is a great feeling to know that I am reducing the amount of chemicals into my body one product at a time.

A couple nights ago I was watching t.v. when I saw a newsflash…. people are not using sunscreen as they should be and they are at risk for skin cancer. This is debatable as sunscreen has chemicals in it that cause skin cancer. Summer is here and it is wise to protect yourself from the harmful rays of the sun, wiser to use a chemical free sunscreen, particularly with the little ones.

I became a distributor of Ava mainly to get the product at a discount. Without ever advertising that I carry the product I had one client contact me 60 miles away to place an order, another woman walk into my shop and ask me if I had sunscreen on hand. What? I will chalk this up to the universe telling me to get the word out there. Yes, I carry Ava and believe in the mission, the vision, and the products. They are truly pure and honest, less that I can say about other companies who claim to be toxic free. Know what is in your product and at least reduce the chemical exposure. It is up to you to educate yourself, don’t wait for the FDA to tell you about the harmful chemicals in our everyday products. We have a choice as to what we use and what we don’t. Make the choice that supports health for you and your family even if it’s only one product at a time.

Feel free to call me if you would like to order the distributor kit, lots of goodies you can use and then you are eligible for wholesale on all the products. You may put effort into the business end or not, entirely up to you. Whichever you decide I am happy to support you.

If you wish to purchase now, there are a couple of very popular summer items in our facebook store.

You may call me at 508-612-7488 or email me at [email protected].

Before you do, watch this inspiring video of Ava Anderson who at 15 starts her own company and product line of non-toxic products.

Thirteen Years Offering Floatation MA

FIRST TANKS IN MA

The first tanks in MA as far as I know date back to the 70’s, one situated in Cambridge MA, and the other in Worcester MA. My understanding is that this tank was on the 7th floor of the building and owned by Tank himself. I heard stories of how Tank carried the 800 lbs. of Epson Salt up to the 7th floor, seems like a grueling task to me. This is all hear say as I gathered my information from floaters who came to my first location in Auburn, MA.

In 2002 The Crystalline Matrix was the only center in MA offering floatation. The Crystalline Matrix offered floatation from 2002 through 2005, at that time the decision to sell the tank came from a failed business partnership and a downsizing for myself with the focus to my holistic practice. In 2007 I decided to purchase another tank and was located in Shrewsbury on route 9 at which time the business name was still The Crystalline Matrix. Today, the business is name Crystalline/AWAKEN as a result of merging the learning center. My decision to purchase another tank was based solely on my own desire to float, I did no advertising and decided if people float they float. When the phone began to ring off the wall for floating I wondered what was happening? Of course I asked the clients coming to float where they heard of floatation. They explained that they heard Joe Rogan on the radio; of course I asked who is Joe Rogan? Well, I know now and if I could I would thank him personally for his ability to reach the masses to the benefits of floatation. Since then floatation has continued to remain steady with floaters traveling from many different areas and nearby states to experience floating.

Intelligence

Observations of NEW FLOAT CENTERS

Throughout the past thirteen years I watched three other locations bring floatation to their centers in New England. What happened to them? Well, this is all so interesting and I have many clients ask me about what I have witnessed through the years.

Because all three of these locations were set up differently there isn’t one answer. My guess is that two of them went too big too fast and the other appeared to be a failed business partnership as well. It is easy to fall prey to the manufacturers who of course want to sell tanks and have seen the success in other states. California, Oregan, Indiana, all seem to have huge success with floatation. What about MA some may wonder? Well, in the thirteen years of offering floatation and cycling through the ups and the downs, my answer is that we have a long way to go to be where some of the other states are.

There was a float center opened in NH, he went in with several tanks to start and failed in less than a year. Another in Burlington MA went in with several tanks and from what I understand, due to the ignorance of the health department to floatation was mandated to provide a life guard on duty during floating. This is ludicrous to many as one would need to be forcibly held under water to drown. The stinging of the salt would awaken anyone, and the ability to turn over while floating requires more effort than the relaxed client would ever put into it. In thirteen years I have never heard anyone say they turned over while floating. They have reported getting salt in their eyes and having to deal with that in order to return to their relaxed state. I highly recommend not scratching that itch on the face in order to avoid this.

Manufacturers Financial Projections

As you can see with the stories above, the cost to running a center with that amount of overhead is astronomical. If the tanks are all full at a cost of $60 per hour times 6 tanks it is logical to think you are making $360. an hour. Well, we are not there yet and it is not happening. This is the same reason I have hesitated to add another tank. Each tank requires it’s own shower, add the cost of the tank to the cost of the build out and you are up into some high figures. Of course we need to consider return on investment. It will take some time to get that money back.

Creative Strategies to Low Cost

There are ways to keep this cost down and that is to do what I did when I moved from the original location. Yes, we installed the plumbing and did a build out in Auburn back in 2002 and since then the cost to do this has quadrupled. When I moved from there I found locations that had an existing shower. Was the set up ideal you wonder? No, it was not, yet the people who were floating were so excited to float that they did not care about the fact that they floated in one room and showered in another.

Today the shower is literally next to the tank, the new center it is getting installed directly in front of the tank, that is ideal!

It’s About the Mission

I am excited about the providing the floatation in the new center yet it has never been about the finances, it is about the awakening process. It is a path for those who may not choose polarity therapy, hypnosis, yoga, meditation. It is for many the time out in solitude that offers a chance to deepen to something magical, a connection with a higher guidance, to gain insight to who they are and why they are here? It is my only hope that those who open centers in the future stay focused on the depth of the experience and not on the $$$. When we do what we love to do the universe provides. My passion is to support others through the process of awakening and floatation is one of the avenues to this evolutionary process.

Cara floating for peace

What I am looking for through this contest is to get the skeptical intrigued, the sometime in the future floater to act now, and the masses to awaken in this part of the country. Quite honestly after thirteen years I would have thought we would be much further ahead of this than we are. I need your help to continue the enlightenment process.

Let me inspire you with the master of floating, Mr. Joe Rogan

I can’t begin to repeat the amazing conversations I have had with floater’s through the years. The level of enlightenment is so refreshing to me as I sit and listen to not only their experience of the float but the level of insight to the meaning of life. Honestly, I could sit and chat with floaters all day long because of the depth of conversation we engage in.

We have the contest now and I am looking for anyone who has floated or has some unique experience in the work place that relates to awakening in some way to record an interview with me. Do let me know who you are and let’s share some of these amazing conversations with the public.

The rules to the video contest are easy to follow, a little bit of copy and paste and then promote it to as many as you can for a large number of shares and likes.

Schedule your float appointment and ask for details. We can video you and post to our YouTube account. Once completed, we share to your facebook page and you go to town to promote it.

Your video can be done anytime after your float, it is not the immediate response, however that is great as well. Tell your audience what you love about floating. This is going to be a lot of fun.

Best of luck to you with your entry. PS, even if you don’t win, your entry earns you one free float after the winner has been selected! This is a great opportunity to experience floating more often. A video after the winner has floated 10 times would be a bonus to the public. We can talk about that later, until then, best to you!

Small Town Floating

Experience Peace Before & After your float!

Early Morning Walk

Conversations with floater’s over the years have provided such insight into what makes the experience enjoyable. I have had the opportunity to meet and talk with so many people from so many backgrounds, and many who want to experience a deeper meaning to life.

Today I met with one of the early morning floaters who shared with me that floating in a small town in the country supported the whole experience of peace and calm. No rushing out to heavy traffic and horns honking. The peace continues on the journey home with the possibility of stopping at the Old Stone Church in West Boylston to enjoy the peace found in nature.

Peacefulness in nature presented itself this morning as I headed out for an early morning walk with the dogs. One would imagine running into another early morning dog walker; in this case a fox stands on the edge of the woods. Events like this help me to appreciate all nature has to offer. A couple streets away from my home in Boylston I can hear the sound of the rooster who seems to be as aware as I am of the presence of the fox. The fox fades into the trees and the sounds of the chickens and roosters become louder as if they are warning each other of the potential danger.

Peaceful Summertime

My five mile drive over to the West side of Boylston offers the connection with the Turkey life as they extend their wings as if to say good morning. On the way home it’s not unusual to see the deer gracefully claiming their territory of the woods.

For anyone driving in from 495 to 140 the beauty of the reservoir is breath taking. In the winter months it’s not unusual to see the crossing of coyote as they navigate the ice and the land in their business of hunting. The travel from the Route 2 and I-190 offer the traveler more breath taking views of nature, particularly in the spring, summer, and fall. The greenery this time of year is outstanding.

As a float provider, the best part of offering floatation is that I have discovered that there are a lot more people in this area who are welcoming the idea of awakening in a whole new way. Most floaters are people who are connecting with nature, a deeper part of who they are and why they are here. Connecting with nature supports this awakening process. I loved hearing a client express the idea of holding the float experience in a small town just outside the hustle and bustle of the city. Excellent feedback for me in consideration to a second location, should that opportunity present itself in the future.

On another note; very happy to see that Massachusetts is opening up to what Oregon and California have been doing for years. Oh well, we know we are a little slower to open up to the less than main stream activities.

Offering floating since 2002, the first location was challenging to some as the traffic was a little distracting, and leaving the parking lot was the next challenge. With many locations, including the home based, all have their ups and their downside. Ideally a tank deep in the woods would be best, since that is not possible we settle into the quaintness of small town of Boylston and West Boylston.

A brief update on the move: The wheels are in motion, it should not be long before the tank joins the rest of the amazing offerings at our center in West Boylston.

Polarity Therapy Foundation

The foundation of all my work is polarity therapy. It really doesn’t matter what path a client decides to take when they are faced with a challenge in life. Some come in wanting to try hypnosis, another conscious coaching, another enzyme therapy, and sometimes massage therapy.

Polarity Therapy Stands Powerfully

Polarity Therapy

Polarity Therapy is one modality that stands powerfully on it’s own. Addressing so many challenges from anxiety, depression, back pain, neck pain, structural alignment, sciatic pain, headaches, to empty nest syndrome and life changes such as divorce, grief, to job changes.

What you are looking for?

No light coming in

Please know that you can request all exterior lights off while floating. There are no windows in the new space which support the darkness.

Shower & bathroom in same room

In the new space you will have the shower in the same room, the bathroom is right next to the tank room.

No chlorine smell

I don’t blame you on this one. We now sanitize the tank with commercial grade hydrogen peroxide. This is safer and better for the everyone.

More than one tank

I hear you on this and appreciate your request. For the past thirteen years of providing floating the number of times people bring a friend still does not justify the expense in doing this. I will keep my eye on it and when timing is right will work to provide the second tank.

Reward for cancelling early

I believe that everyone needs to honor and value the time of other people. The reward for cancelling in advance is that you will not be charged. This also allows another person to schedule that time slot.

Free first float

Sorry on this one. I can’t provide this as I need to pay people to supervise floats and do orientations. The first floats will continue to remain the same full price as they are more time consuming. You may however stop in to see the tank and ask questions, please let me know when you would like to come by and I will meet you.

Discounts for bringing a friend

We currently provide a monthly membership where you can float once a month for the cost of $40. per month, if you choose to share your membership with a friend, they too can float for $40. If you float more than once a month, you still get that same price, your second float in the same month is an additional $40.. This a a monthly auto bill to your credit card when you sign up.

Member Yearly Discounts

There seem to be quite a few floaters who would float weekly or bi-weekly if the yearly membership was available.

  • *****Yearly Float ONLY Member: Cost $ 650 (If you float 26 times in a year this package will save you $910.) For the committed floater, you cannot beat this deal.

Terms: Must be paid in full, upfront and non-refundable. May bring a friend for an additional $30 for 50 minute float. May upgrade to an 80 minute float for an additional $10.

  • *****Yearly ALL Services Member: Cost $1200.
